Princess Madeleine at Work in Stockholm
While in Sweden visiting her newborn niece, Princess Madeleine has also used the time to hold meetings with her patronages.
On Friday March 9th, the Princess visited the headquarters of SOS Children’s Villages Swedish branch. Princess Madeleine was informed on the organisation’s structure, the work that they perform, and their corporate social responsibility initiatives and activities. The visit was conducted by SOS’s Secretary General, Ms Anna Ryott, their Programme Director, Ms Annika Billing, and their Corporate Relations Manager, Ms Pia Watkinson.
On Monday, she visited the patronage she has worked most with (excluding the World Childhood Foundation of course), ‘Min Stora Dag’ – My Big Day, a charity which is the Swedish version of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Princess was given a tour of the headquarters by the Secretary General, Mr Richard Fors, before being told about the charity’s current projects and efforts.
Yesterday, Princess Madeleine visited two organisations – BRIS, a children’s rights society, and the Save the Children foundation – at their respective headquarters.
Later tonight in Stockholm, Princess Madeleine will join her parents, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, and brother-in-law, Prince Daniel, for a representation dinner at the Royal Palace.
