Their Royal Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Asturias paid a visit to the newly restored Cathedral of Tarazona in the Zaragoza province, Spain earlier today. The Gothic Cathedral which was constructed in the 12th century has ungone a major restoration since 1984.

A well wrapped-up Felipe and Letizia were dressed in winter overcoats and braved the cold to meet the crowds of well wishers who had gathered outside the Cathedral. Their Royal Highnesses were then greeted by the Bishop of Tarazona and several other officials. The Prince and Princess went on to view the massive restoration work inside the Cathedral, visiting the various chapels, cloisters, choir and Main Altar.

The Cathedral is regarded as a gem of both the French Gothic architecture and Mudéjar style, it was consecrated in 1232.
