Swedish Royals Out and About
The Swedish Royal Family were out and about today, attending a business meeting and a representation dinner.
Earlier today, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visited the Centre for Business and Policy Studies (SNS) in Stockholm. The Crown Princess Couple were greeted by the SNS Chairman, Mr Harry Flam, the Acting President, Ms Pernilla Klein, and the program director, Ms Mia Chen Nell.
During the visit, expected to be one of the Crown Princess’s final engagements before the birth of her first child in the coming weeks, Victoria and Daniel were told about the current activities of SNS, including ways to lower unemployment and reducing child poverty. The SNS works to create networks within Sweden of private and public business leaders and decision makers who “share a commitment to social and economic development in Sweden.”
This evening, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia were joined by Prince Daniel and Prince Carl Philip for the year’s first representation dinner at the Royal Palace. Among the guests were members of parliament and government, the diplomatic corps and Swedish culture, sport, science and industry.
The representation dinner is an annual event hosted by the King, and is usually held twice a year.
