Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s 8th birthday

Today, January 21st, Princess Ingrid Alexandra celebrates her 8th birthday.

She was born at Rikshospitalet University Hospital in Oslo in 2004 as first child of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, who has a son Marius from a previous relationship who lives with the Crown Princely Family. She is second in line for the Norwegian throne, after her father.

Her godparents are His Majesty The King, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Fredrik of Denmark, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias, Her Highness Princess Märtha Louise and Ms Marit Tjessem, the mother of the Crown Princess.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra began attending Jansløkka Elementary School on 19 August 2010, where her little brother Prince Sverre Magnus is attending as well since last year. During the last couple of years she has been involved in a number of official engagements.
