Danish Crown Princely Couple to Visit Australia in November
The Danish Royal Court today officially announced that Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will partake in an official visit to Australia in November this year. The news was first broken in May, on the ‘Bright Green Denmark’ website, the business delegation who will be accompanying the couple on the visit.
The Crown Prince and Princess will visit Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne, between November 19th and November 26th. According to the press release,
“Australia’s Governor General, Her Excellency Quentin Bryce, is hosting the Crown Princely Couple during the visit…As part of the program, the Crown Princely Couple will also meet Prime Minister Julia Gillard.”
The Crown Princely Couple will be heading a business delegation comprised of various Danish companies which are involved with environmental and climate change sectors, or who wish to look into the Australian market.
It is unknown if the couple’s four children – Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Prince Josephine – will be making the trip with their parents, but media speculation points to at least the twins going along to be introduced to their mother’s homeland and family.
