Princess Laurentien at the 2011 Beijing International Book Fair

Princess Laurentien was present at the inauguration of the 18th Beijing International Book Fair in Beijing, capital of China. The five-day book fair started on August 31 and will end on September 04.
The Netherlands is guest of honour at this year’s Beijing International Book Fair.
At the book fair in China, on August 31, Princess Laurentien launched the Chinese edition of her children’s book “Mr. Finney en de wereld op zijn kop” (Mr Finney and the world turned upside-down). Now her book, after the translation in English and Spanish, is also translated in Chinese.

“Mr Finney and the world turned upside-down” is the first book in a series about Mr Finney.
Princess Lurentien had a meeting with elementary students and she has read excerpts of her book.
During her journey in China, Princess Laurentien also has attended a lunch meeting about sustainability at the Benenlux Chamber of Commerce.
Princess Laurentien is founder and president of “Reading & Writing” and also she’s Special Envoy for literacy development in the UN organization UNESCO.
