Princess Amalia: Afternoon Out with Grandmother Beatrix
Earlier this afternoon, Queen Beatrix, along with her grandaughter Princess Amalia, attended the final of the European Dressage Championships in Rotterdam. The Championships took place from 17 to 21 August in the Kralingse bos.
Also present at the final was Princess Benedikte, sister of Margrethe, Queen of Denmark. Princess Benedikte was there as patron of the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses. The Dutch dressage rider Adelinde Cornelissen, has retained her title in Grand Prix Spécial, winning the gold medal.
This event was the first outing of Queen Beatrix after surgery to correct a cataract last Thursdy.
