Märtha Louise Parachuting
Yesterday the Norwegian Princess Märtha Louise went parachuting, which was part of a Sports Association’s campaign. The aim of the campaign is to recruit more disabled people to sport.
The Princess did the tandem jump with a tandem instructor from about 3800 meters high.
The event and the campaign “along Norway” were organized by the Norwegian Sports Association and Tønsberg parachute club. The goal of the campaign is to recruit about 500 new disabled athletes to the sport in 2011.
There were several events to let disabled people try different sports and activities, but also events to increase knowledge about physical activity for disabled people.
