The Prince of Wales & The Duchess of Cornwall visit Spain

After visiting Portugal, the princely couple have moved on to Spain where they were greeted by Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia at Palacio Del Pardo in Madrid. The Prince of Wales went on to meet business men in the Community of Madrid and then to a Reception at the British Embassy.

We saw a beautiful display of gowns and jewels from Camilla and Letizia at the gala dinner on the evening of the 30th.

Day two of the visit saw the Prince of Wales meet the Prime Minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, before heading to the Madrid Town Hall. The Prince of Wales joined by Prince Felipe as he visited the Center of Repsol’s Technology in Móstoles. While the ‘boys’ were together, the Duchess of Cornwall and Princess Letizia visited the program of guide dogs which develop the ONCE Foundation.

The future King and Queen of the United Kingdom then went on to lunch at Zarzuela Palace with the current King and Queen of Spain, where they posed for photos on the steps of the Palace.

The afternoon began with the Prince of Wales attending a meeting on sustainable economy in the headquarters of the Rafael del Pino Foundation and receives the Spanish secretary of Environment, Rosa Aguilar, at El Pardo Palace. We saw another display of beautiful outfits at a charitable concert at the Ritz in the evening.

The final day in Spain saw Prince Charles in Madrid attending a seminar for young entrepreneurs, much like the people involved in The Princes Trust. The Duchess of Cornwall was at the same time visting the British Council.

It was then a six-hour drive to Sevilla where the couple met with the President of Andalucia and the Mayor of Sevilla. The Prince of Wales attended an event with Spanish businessmen who export their products to UK and then it was on to attend a conference organized by the Fundación Tres Culturas on the coexistence of different cultures. Whilw Prince Charles was busy meeting and greeting, the Duchess of Cornwall relaxed with a visit to the Flamenco Museum.

The last visit on the list will be Morrocco and they arrive there on Sunday evening.
