Dutch Official Visit to Vietnam, Day 1
Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and Crown Princess Maxima have started today, March 28, an official visit in Vietnam that will end on March 31. Prince Willem-Alexander and his wife will spend the first two days in the capital Hanoi and then two days in Ho Chi Minh City. The purpose of the trip is to strengthen the economic relations between the Netherlands and Vietnam.
The Crown Princely Couple is accompanied by Dr. H. Paler, Secretary of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation and Mr JJ Atsma, State Secretary for Infrastructure and Environment.
On their first day, Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Maxima attended a meeting with the focus of ‘Doing Business in Vietnam”.
After, the Crown Princely Couple went to a reception and lunch with the host of the visit, Mr Khiem, the Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In the afternoon Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Maxima visited the high authorities and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Cao Duc Phat.
The first day of the visit ended with a networking dinner attended by the business delegation, the Vietnamese counterparts and various officials.
