Engagement of Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall Announced

Around one hour ago, on December 21st, the British Royal Court announced the engagement of Miss Zara Phillips, the daughter of HRH the Princess Royal, to Mr Mike Tindall.

The announcement, posted on the British Monarchy’s Facebook page and their official website, read:

“Announcement of the engagement of Zara Phillips to Mr Mike Tindall, 21 December 2010

The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Zara Phillips to Mr Mike Tindall, son of Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall.”

The couple are believed to have become engaged last night at their home in Gloucestershire, and have been dating for close to seven years.
