Queen Elizabeth Hosts Annual Pre-Christmas Lunch for Family

The annual Christmas lunch hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace for the extended family has taken place.

The lunch was a private family affair, but photographers managed to be in the right place at the right to time to snap photos. Gatherings of the whole royal family don’t happen that often and, when they do, it’s usually for some grand occasion like a marriage or major holiday.

More than 60 members of the extended Royal Family arrived at Buckingham Palace for the dinner. But the most surprising appearance was from Catherine Middleton, fiancee of Prince William.
