Queen Rania Tours the Gulf for Madrasiti Palestine
As part of her efforts to support the “Madrasati Palestine” initiative, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan paid two short visits to Bahrain and Kuwait. The Queen started her tour in Bahrain, where she attended the charity dinner of Madrasati Palestine Women’s Network at the Bahrain National Museum. The ceremony was held in the presence of the Bahraini Crown Prince, Sheikh Salman Al Khalifa, and was organized by the Arab Woman Network to provide financial support for the initiative. Sheikha Sabeeka Al Khalifa, the wife of the Bahraini monarch, welcomed Queen Rania and hosted a lunch banquet in honour of Her Majesty.
The second stop on Queen Rania’s Gulf tour was Kuwait, where she was born and raised. Her Majesty met the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Sabah, and attended another charity event organized by the Arab Woman Forum for Madrasati Palestine. Queen Rania launched Madrasiti Palestine (My School in Arabic), an initiative last April to improve the infrastructure of East Jerusalem and West Bank schools to provide better education for the Palestinian children.
On her way home, Her Majesty stopped in Saudi Arabia and performed Umrah in Mecca.
