Kuwait and Jordan Hold Talks on Arab Development Summit
On Wednesday, His Majesty King Abdullah meet with visiting Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah for talks. Sheikh Mohammad handed over the Monarch a letter from Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah on efforts to realise Arab solidarity and current Arab and regional issues. The letter also included mechanisms to implement a $2 billion Arab development initiative that Sheikh Sabah launched during the January summit to secure resources to finance and support small- and medium-size enterprises in the Arab world.
During the meeting, they discussed regional developments and efforts to bring about peace and stability in the Middle East through finding a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict that is based on the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative.
