State Visit from Qatar to the UK
His Highness The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and his Consort, Her Highness Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al-Missned, have accepted an invitation of HM The Queen to pay a state visit to the United Kingdom which starts today, Tuesday 26 October, and runs to Thursday 28 October 2010.
The Emir and his consort will stay at Windsor Castle during the visit. Before meeting with the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh in Windsor today, the Qatar royals will be met by the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall. The Emir and his consort will enjoy a carriage procession through the town to Windsor Castle with the Queen.
During the trip, the Qatar royals are scheduled to visit a few historical sites and hold a few political meetings as well as signing partnerships and agreements.
