Archduke Rudolph to be buried in Muri
More details have been released about the funeral and burial of Archduke Rudolph of Austria, who died last Saturday, 15 May 2010.
The funeral will take place on Saturday 29 May 2010, at 15.30, at the Church of Notre-Dame-du-Sablon, in Bruxelles.
Archduke Rudolph will then be buried in a private ceremony on Friday 4 June 2010 in the Loretokapelle in Muri; this vault have been built as burial place for the descendants of Emperor Karl I and Empress Zita, and there are already buried Archduke Rudolph’s first wife Archduchess Xenia and son Archduke Johannes, as well as his brother Archduke Robert of Austria-Este, his sister-in-law Archduchess Anna-Eugenie (wife of Archduke Felix) and the hearts of Emperor Karl and Empress Zita.
A requiem Mass will follow on Saturday 12 June 2010, at 18, in St. Stephan Cathedral in Vienna.
