Frederik and Mary Visit Hungary
TRH Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark have recently completed a two-day visit to Hungary.
They attended the opening of the “Power Games” exhibition of Danish contemporary art event at the Ludwig Museum, whose goal is to “filter the political and social reality through art.” Prince Frederik and Princess Mary were greeted by Hungarian VIPs and school children dressed in traditional Hungarian costumes.
After the opening, the pair moved on to Sándor Palace, the official residence of President Lászó Sólyom, where thet met the President in an audience. President Sólyom then took his guests out on to one of the Palace’s balconies to view the famed Danube River.
In the evening, Frederik and Mary were guests of honour at the opening performance of the Royal Ballet’s performance of La Sylphide and Symphony C at the State Opera House. They were joined by President Sólyom, various Hungarian ministers and the Danish Minister of Culture, Per Stig Møller.
