Audiences with the Grand Duke and Duchess

On Wednesday, Grand Duke Henri received in audience Mr Herman van Rompuy, the President of the European Council during his working visit to Luxembourg.

On the same day, his wife Grand Duchess Maria Teresa received Mme Marguerite Barankitse, the President of Shalom (‘Peace’ in English), which is a charitable organisation founded to aid the reunification of familes and the readaption of orphans and refuges back into society in Burundi, which was one of the countries the Grand Duchess visited on her trip to Africa last year. Mme Barankitse was accompanied by Mme Aline Ndzako, the Vice-President of Shalom.
