Danish Royals attend Court Ball at Christiansborg
In the evening of January 27th, HM Queen Margrethe II and HRH Prince Henrik hosted a court ball at Christiansborg Palace for the members of Danish Government, Danish Parliament and the Danish representatives in the European Parliament.
The white-tie and tiaras event was also attended by TRH Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte. Featuring a three-course meal and wine from Prince Henrik’s Chateau in Caix, this dinner has been hosted in January for several years now.
Some drama occurred early on in the ball, as one of the guards lining the entrance to the ballroom fainted just minutes after the Queen and Prince Henrik had passed by. The man was quickly taken to receive medical attention. During the dinner, a female guest also fainted and likewise received speedy medical attention.
