Prince Frederik in Saudi Arabia & Qatar
HRH Crown Prince Frederik arrived in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh on Friday night, and spent the following day, January 16th, visiting trade and industry ministers before having meetings with various Saudi royals in the afternoon. They included HM King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, HRH Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, HRH Prince Naif (Interior Minister) and HRH Prince Saud (Foreign Affairs Minister). An official dinner for local representatives and the Danish business delegation concluded the day’s schedule at the Danish Embassy in Riyadh.
On January 17th, the Crown Prince travelled to neighbouring Qatar where his schedule included a visit to Maersk Oil, a visit to the Museum of Islamic Art and a visit to the Souq Waqif. A meeting with the Crown Prince of Qatar, HRH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, was also on the agenda for noon.
HRH then moved on to the United Arab Emirates, where he attended the opening of the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi, alongside HRH Prince Felipe of Spain.
