Victoria & Daniel Set Up Wedding Foundation
HRH Crown Princess Victoria and her fiancé, Daniel Westling, have set up their own wedding foundation – the ‘Kronprinsessparets Bröllopsstiftelse‘ (Crown Princess Couple’s Wedding Foundation).
According to the press release issued today by the Royal Court, the foundation aims to “promote children and young people in Sweden, in order to combat exclusion and promote good health.” It’s initial objectives are to foster the care and upbringing of children and adolescents, to make contributions to education and training, and to promote scientific research.
The press release also states that the Crown Princess Couple hopes that those wishing to give them gifts on the occasion of their wedding will do so in the form of a donation to the foundation.
To allow the foundation to be registered legally in Sweden, the bridal couple – who will wed next June 19th – provided 100,000SEK as the foundation’s capital. The foundation will lodge a registration application sometime in the near future.
