Thanks for the photos!
The Japanese Imperial family looked perfect as usual. Furisode kimonos worn by Imperial Princesses were lovely.

You're welcome! :flowers:

Thanks for posting these excellent pictures. Empress Michiko looks particularly lovely in that beautifully designed outfit.

Thanks for the updates!
It is always a pleasure to see the Imperial family undertaking official engagements. I fully agree with Jacknch noting that Her Imperial Majesty's ensemble is quite lovely.

The Emperor and the Empress received the French President François Hollande (and yes with his life partner Valérie Trierweiler as well) for a 3 days state visit to Japan.

Some pics (to give our dear Al-Bina some chills :D;):flowers: )

i notice there are translators seating between the two ladies and the two gentlemen. i assume both the emperor and empress speak good english. i wonder if it's the holande couple who are not comfortable speaking in english? or are they just provided to ease understanding so that both can speak in their own languages?

Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko departed Saturday on a weeklong trip to India at the invitation of the Indian government to commemorate the 60th anniversary last year of bilateral diplomatic ties.
