I liked the light blue gown and the black & white outfit a lot!!She looked gorgeous!!So,it's true that Letizia used to be very carefull with her public appearances.

Qothl, you seem to have endless photos of several Royals and All of them are simply wonderful!! Keep them coming, please, and thank you for sharing them! :)

Right,Qotl, you're doing a great job!!I like seeing Letizia in red,I think that's her color.

Sure. That's because she has the perfect "olive" skin complexion to support red better than anyone.

those type of gowns ( espically 2 and 3) make her look really a princess like those we used to read about in stories and fairy tales.

Letizia wore her last "decent" GOWN in January 2005: http://s5.tinypic.com/2uorpcj.jpg
After that there were only cheaper Varela dresses like this Getty Images - Spanish Royals Attend Opening Of Extension At El Prado Museum or combinations, some decent, like this Getty Images - Spanish Royal Family Receive Putin, some really ugly like this Getty Images - Spanish Royals Host Gala Dinner Honouring Mexican President, some with a pretty skirt & cheap looking top like this Getty Images - Spanish Royals Host Gala Dinnerhttp://s5.tinypic.com/2a641s8.jpg and some with a cheap looking skirt and a pretty top like this http://s5.tinypic.com/2a641s8.jpg

I wonder why Letizia shies away from those full-body gowns she used to wear mainly in the first year of her marriage and that all looked very classy (like the red, silver or light blue gown). The top & skirt combinations often don't work for her and don't fit together well in terms of colour or quality.

It would be perfect indeed,Ikram!!Especially when you think what wedding dress she chose to wear...

It's interesting that you chose these three since they all have the same bodice. It is very flattering on her.
Whilst I love the colour the stlye accentuates how slim she, making her almost fade away and it makes the dresses look somehow abbreviated. Not at all Gala GOWN Wear! :ermm:

Stacked against this fabulous gown Letitzia's later gowns look positively home-made!

I have always Thought that this dress, in white would have made a perfect wedding dress (GOWN for Letizia...no?
That dress certainly had the "Wow" factor and while I am not sure how it would have looked in white, I am sure it would have looked regal, as indeed it does in red. :flowers:

I was going through some older pictures of PLetizia and she had some lovely gowns and daytime wear. I really miss that!! Love the silver gown with all the diamonds, very glamourous!!

It's the first time I see the jacket in the 2nd photo Queenofthelight posted above :previous: It looks really lovely and unusual,a very good choice for a daytime outfit :flowers:

I notice that with her red dress Princess Letizia was wearing jewellery that I have always loved, double clips, they are very art deco, on a square neckline they look fabulous (and lapels too). They are usually provided with a pin so that they can also be made into a large brooch so they are very versatile.
She looked stunning in this outfit.

That outfit definitely disappointed me!I believe it would be more appropriate for an older woman. But I really liked her hair and the tiara.

I soooo agree! The style and color of this dress was perfect for her. The jewels... Stunning!! I wish she would repeat this look again!!

Was Carile the designer of the red dress? If so, that designer should do all of her gala outfits.

Yes, Caprile was the designer. He used to design many Letizia´s gala gowns, I don´t know why she doesn´t wear his gowns now, they usually were more beautiful than all those Varela´s gowns she likes.
