The Crown Prince couple visit Germany
Their Royal Highnesses the Crown Prince and Crown Princess are traveling on an official visit to Germany in the period 6 to 9 November 2023. The visit to Munich, Hamburg and Berlin will help to strengthen the close and good relations and close business cooperation between Norway and Germany.
From the government follows Business Minister Jan Christian Vestre, Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt, Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram and Oil and Energy Minister Terje Aasland. A Norwegian business delegation also takes part in the trip. During the visit, the Crown Prince couple will meet Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, as well as other federal and state authorities.
Germany is Norway's most important partner in Europe. The collaboration is close and extensive in a number of areas. Germany is one of our largest trading partners, an increasingly important ally and a like-minded partner in promoting democracy, the rule of law and human rights.
The Crown Prince will visit Munich and Hamburg in the period 6 to 8 November. The program in Munich includes, among other things, Norwegian-German defense materiel and industrial cooperation and the promotion of Norwegian literature. In Hamburg, the main theme will be energy transition and green industrial development with a focus on hydrogen and CCS, as well as the green maritime sector. The visit ends in Berlin on 9 November, where the Crown Princess will also participate in a commemoration of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
