Prince Boris and Prince Beltran of Bulgaria

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Beltran is a PhD student at Imperial College London, studying Physics. Here is his Linkedin account https://www.linkedin.com/in/beltranscg?originalSubdomain=uk

I think this family is quite interesting. Boris is a sculptor. Beltran is going to be a scientist(?). Their cousin, Mafalda, daughter of Kyril is a singer. Their other cousin, Mirko, son of Kubrat, is a surgeon.

He is cultivating the (somewhat nerdy) student look.

So, he and Amalia were most likely fellow students (although in different programs).

Interesting how they are now representing both the Bulgarian and the Jordanian royal family through their mother's marriage with a Jordanian prince.

Prince Boris participated in the "Green Transition Forum 4.0", which was held in Sofia from 26 to 28 June 2024.

Prince Boris participated in the intercultural camp in The Hague, Netherlands “Seeding the Peace”.

The Hague, Netherlands? Interesting 🤭

Now that is intersting indeed. And I believe Amalia left Paris on August 6th... ;).

It seems they focussed on the international court in The Hague. Considering his age and the young age of some of those present, the prince was perhaps one of the guides of the group?

I wonder what Boris will do now that he's finished his master studies. If the rumors about him and Amalia are true, he might want to spend more time in or near The Netherlands. With his master degree and network, it should be possible for him to find a job in The Hague or Brussels. Or perhaps London. I could see Amalia heading to Oxford or Cambridge after she finishes her bachelor studies in Amsterdam.

If it is true I would say it still is rather early for him to commit to anything Dutch. She is still very young, lots of things can happen. And The Hague certainly is not the most exiting of all places for people in their twenties. Neither is the country terribly interesting for the upper classes, as we do not have all these society events that there are in Madrid, London or even in Brussels. Neither would it be very wise from a privacy point of view as the rumours will certainly increase.

He recently graduated in international relations and business, so I imagine he may be on the look out for a job?

Perhaps it is the other way around? If he will be volunteering or working in The Hague for some time, that could easily explain (without a romance needing to be involved) why he has been - allegedly - spending time with his longtime family friend the Princess of Orange, who may have been willing to help him acclimate (similarly to how she herself was allegedly helped by the Spanish royals when she was in Spain).

For background: Máxima didn't move to the Netherlands until her engagement. She did move closer to the Netherlands (from New York to Brussels), however, at some point so they could more easily spend time together.

That's also why I mentioned Brussels and London. They're very young, but if (and it’s a big IF, because we still have no confirmation at all) they are in love, they might want to spend more time together, even though they're young. Amalia is a self-confessed romantic, and from what I’ve gathered, I wouldn’t be surprised if Boris is a bit of a romantic as well. So, if that’s the case, they might want to see each other more than once a month. And they have the means to make that happen.

Indeed a big IF.

Nonetheless, while Amalia is still young (20; turning 21 in December), Boris is 26 years old (turning 27 in October); so I would not consider him 'very young'. For example, Alois and Sophie were married by that age. Mathilde also got married at the age of 26.

The avarage age of royal marriages went up a bit since the 90s I imagine? But indeed, some people still find their partner in life at a young age, which is great for them!

Any move to the Netherlands at this point would IMO probably be more a signal that nothing is going on at all - which is the most likely scenario in any case. Why risk the exposure? For now there is no reason to believe he is moving anywhere of course, it may indeed have been just this group visit to the international court, which is interesting anyway, esp. for sombody with his field of studies. Anyway... time will tell.
