Here are some from today :

Polfoto 09-11-2005 King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and Queen Silvia of Sweden stand with members of Australia's Swedish community on the steps of the Sydney Opera House Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005. Queen Silvia and King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden are on a six day visit to Australia.
Gosh, how could Silvia have worn that suit on such a hot day like today? It's nearly 10pm and I'm still really hot. The colour and the cut is really nice on her though. Thanks everyone for the great photos. I really hope they're enjoying their time here.

Eh she must have been sweltering its now 11:41 according to my computer clock and I'm still with my fan on one of the highest settings hot as ... well. Although it could just be my room. Was anyone actually there? I was in a stupid exam:mad: Thanks for all the pictures though thanks too you guys I actually get to see whats been going on without standing in a crowd on a hot day :D. Is it just because I haven't been paying attention or hasn't there been a lot of media coverage from this trip?

It is Her Excellency Marlena Jeffrey, wife of the Governor General of Australia

Indeed Her Majesty looks wonderful in that bright blue/turquoise suit! It's a lovely colour on her!

The sign that the girls are holding up, and which the Queen also checks out in some pictures, says "King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia are welcomed so Sydney by the children". I think most of the people around them at the Opera House are part of the Swedish community in Sydney. Loved that sign! :)

Australia is not a Republic, we are a Constitutional Monarchy. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is Queen of Australia.

Ooops. sorry  Ofcourse it´s a Monarchy I don´t know what I was thinking of. But if there isn´t any royal person present from the host country she tends to scale the jewels down a bit, that was what I meant.

Thanks to all, who have posted pictures. It´s nice to go in the morning online and to see new pics. Another reason, why I love Royal trips to Oz :D
This turquoise skirt reminds me of something, a person, who has gotten 50% of her chromosomes from the classy lady, has worn in Oz as well

Thanks to all for posting the very nice pictures from Australia.

No pictures from yesterday afternoon - visit the child-hospital?
And more from the evening Gala (only one)?

The king and queens visit to Adelaide was on both 7 and ABC news this evening. Footage showed them arriving at the airport and queen silvia at a primary school where the children sung ABBAs "Dancing Queen"!! King Carl Gustav was all gowned up in protective gear at an energy centre :p (solar power). They have a gala dinner tonight so hopefully there will be some photos of that.

Its good to see that they made two news programs and got a substantial amount of time on both programs. I think its because we don't often get royals in SA. The last time I think was queen elizabeth in 2001/2(?). We missed out on prince Charles but more importantly we missed out on CPs Mary and Frederick.:(

Her Majesty the Queens last tour of South Australia was in 2002.

I cant wait for Her Majesty to come to Melbourne next year. I do believe that it shall be the last chance I get to see my sovereign lady on Australian soil.

Thanks "MII". Today Queen Silvia was wearing a lemon coloured wrap dress with a matching bolero type jacket over it (not as bad as it sounds!:p ). It was quite cold and wet in SA today but im sure no where near as cold as it gets in Sweden!

Oh, not at all Pink Tulip :)

I envy you guys quite a bit actually. I wish Their Majesties had come to Melbourne, but alas... wasn't meant to be. Still I cannot complain. I was lucky enough to personally meet Their Royal Highnesses the Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary Elizabeth of Denmark earlier this year. A meeting I shall never forget!

With kind regards,

Ohhhh, lemon would have lookd devine on the Queen with her gorgeous Brunette locks!

I've really liked Queen Silvia's outfits during this visit, and both she and the King seem to have dealt with the weather here quite well!:D

Swedish king plays down royal romance
By Doug Conway
November 09, 2005
PRINCESS Mary has raised Australia's profile greatly in Scandinavia, according to the King and Queen of Sweden.

"It's wonderful to see that the royal family in Denmark has a family member from your country," said Queen Silvia in an interview during a six-day Australian visit.

The pictures from Ayers rock are great! Thank you for posting them, fanletizia.
I guess to visit it was an idea of the king...

In some of the photos we have seen of Their Majesties, they appear (sometimes) utterly bored out of their brains. Especially His Majesty the King!

I do adore Her Majesty the Queen Silvia very much.

"MII"

As I said, this is just my opinion and does not reflect upon any other indavidual.
