King Carl Gustaf visited the Police Headquarters today.
The King and the National Police Commissioner of Sweden Dan Eliasson. The King visited the Police headquarters in Stockholm and received information about the recent reorganization, as well as challenges and plans for the future within the Swedish police force.

The National Police Commissioner Dan Eliasson told about the reorganization of the police, which started in January 2015 and still in progress. The king was also told about the great challenges that the Swedish police are facing, such as organized crime and migration flows. And how the police are increasingly collaborating with other agencies in the fight against crime. Thereafter the king to take part of the National Operative Department's (NOA) work. NOA leads, among other things, the operations and decides on action and additional resources in the country. At the National Cybercrime center premises, the king heard about cyber crimes which have increased dramatically in recent times. This includes everything from child sexual abuse, financial crimes and hacking to fraud, trafficking and threats on the Internet. The visit ended at the regional control center.

On 10th February the king and queen attend another concert - "konsertserien Onsdag Gul" in concerthouse Stockholm!

Queen Silvia inaugurated today the new premises of Lilla Erstagården. The queen inaugurated Lilla Erstagården in 2010, then it was the Sweden's first children's hospice. The new Lilla Erstagården has room for eight children.

When queen Silvia yesterday inaugurated Lilla Erstagården, a hospice for children and young people in the final stages of life who need skilled medical care at end of life, she could not hold back the tears. She was deeply taken after having heard the parents of 9-year-old sick to death Ludvig tell about the hard time of their life and the light Lilla Erstagården brings to them.
From being the most lively joy spreader in the family, he was a few years ago diagnosed with an incurable brain disease, X-ALD.
Now Ludvig is at Lilla Erstagården - Scandinavia's first child and youth hospice, palliative care, and on Thursday their newly built premises were inaugurated.
- When the unthinkable happens and a family is forced into a situation that is so unthinkable to most of all do not even want to touch it with a thought, Lilla Erstagården is there. I am happy to be part of this important, a newly built house that has room for even more children, said the queen.

King Carl Gustaf participates on 15th-20th February at the Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences' Royal Technology Mission in Japan. The delegation is headed by Academy's Chairman Leif Johansson and has 29 representatives from industry and authorities.

This isn't a state visit or an official visit made by the Head of State of Sweden. King Carl Gustaf participates at the trip as a patron of the Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences.
 
At the International Childhood Cancer Day on February 15, the Queen presented the first performance of the song We Are One, a newly written song in support of children with cancer. In the picture, the Queen talk with Carmen Auste, Chair of CCI (the organization Childhood Cancer International). CCI is the organization behind the global initiative.

Queen Silvia visited also Barnahus Stockholm on Monday. There operate social services, police, county and prosecutors jointly to children exposed to violence or abuse, get a secure, coordinated and legally secure treatment.

King Carl Gustaf is in Japan with The Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences' Royal Technology Mission.
On Tuesday the delegation visited the TV Tower Sky Tree. The architectural firm Nikken Sekkei presented Sky Tree TV tower and talked about design, building culture and technology. During the afternoon, Business Sweden in Tokyo gave a presentation of the country. In the evening Magnus Robach, Sweden's ambassador to Japan, hosted a dinner.
On Wednesday the day started with a business visit to Hitachi. Then the delegation visited Tokyo University. During the afternoon they visited Tokyo Women's Medical University, where the delegation was given a presentation of the university and they visited their laboratories.
On Thursday the day started with a visit to Miraikan, National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. There was also a press conference where the king told to japanese media about the Mission. During the afternoon the delegation visited FujiFilm and Canon.

Svensk Damtidning has a photo of the king and queen at the 75th birthday anniversary party of businessman Claes Dinkelspiel. He celebrated his birthday with 320 guests at Wallmans Salonger in Stockholm. Mark Levengood hosted the evening and among the performers were Peter Jöback and The Fantastic Four. Also princess Christina and Tord Magnuson and Bertil and Jill Bernadotte af Wisborg attended.
