Looks like a new Elie Saab with the Vine leaves tiara! :)

Famous finnish former NHL hockey player and world champion Saku Koivu and his wife were as guests at the dinner on yesterday evening and of course the finnish media is excited about that. Koivu is one of our big sports heroes.

Having seen many similar videos during the state and official visits made to Finland, I can say that there is obviously a very good and warm relationship between our president and the grand duke and the whole Luxembourg delegation.

The grand duke and duchess walked at Esplanade and Senate Square, and saw among other things the Helsinki Cathedral and Government Palace. After that they visited the Temppeliaukio Church. Its interior walls are created naturally by the rock. The church was designed by architects Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen and opened in 1969. The grand duke and duchess got to know the wonderful acoustics of the church by listening to organ music.

The grand duke and duchess are today in Espoo.
Espoo is a garden of innovation and adventurous experiences - Espoo Innovation Garden. This refers to innovative, common ways of working and a culture of collaboration and co-creation; it's a communal way of thinking and doing things. The heart of the Innovation Garden is at the Keilaniemi-Otaniemi-Tapiola area, the biggest innovation hub in the Northern Europe. It is home for e.g. Aalto University, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, headquarters of companies like Kone, Fortum, Neste Oil and Rovio and the hottest Startup Sauna on the planet.
They visited the Aalto University and VTT Technical Research Centre. And Espoo Innovation Garden.

Luxemburger Wort - A visit to Espoo & university for Luxembourg's Grand Ducal couple

They arrived to Yrityskylä where they visited Me & MyCity. Me & MyCity is a learning concept aimed at school children, covering society, working life and entrepreneurship. The Me & MyCity learning environment is a miniature city where students work in a profession and function as consumers and citizens as part of society.
King Carl Gustaf and queen Silvia visited Me & MyCity on their state visit last year, and like them, the grand duke and duchess are seen at K-supermarket. Maybe we will hear if they bought something, king Carl Gustaf and queen Silvia bought.

And they did buy things, at least the grand duchess did.
Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa wanted to visit every micro-business company at the Yrityskylä-village and greet the students at work.
- It felt good when they were interested in us and wanted to know our future plans. This is a "once in a lifetime" opportunity, sighs Jenny Vanhanen, who worked as K-Supermarket merchant and had the honor to hand out flowers to the grand duchess.
The Grand Duchess aroused particular attention with her generosity. The Grand Duchess received a Nordea bankcard to the supermarket and admired Finnish delicacies and bought plenty of them as gifts to their entourage.
The good-humored Grand Ducal couple was interviewed by local Länsiväylä-newspaper and talked with the mayor of Yrityskylä.
- I told them about the Finnish methods of voting. They were very interested in it. The whole day has been very exciting, says Klaus Rehnberg (12 years), who worked as mayor.
The Grand ducal couple was impressed by the Finnish education know-how in the field of teaching financial skills. Fresh research results on the social importance of Yrityskylä also drew attention.
- Yrityskylä confirmed our perception of Finland as the number one country of Pisa in the world. You could bring the same concept to Luxembourg and throughout Europe, Grand Duke Henri suggested.

When grand duchess Maria Teresa returned to Luxembourg from the state visit, she had a brooch:

It's the "Dream"-brooch from finnish Kalevala jewelry designed by Kirsti Doukas and obviously one of the presents the presidential couple had given to the grand ducal couple.
On 1 June 1906, the Finnish Estates accepted a new Parliament Act and Election Act. On that day, Finland, which was still a Grand Duchy of Russia, established the world's most modern Parliament, which ensured universal and equal suffrage.
The Dream jewelry collection celebrates the centennial of equality pioneers. The festive theme has inspired Kirsti Doukas to combine delicate sprightly elements into a strong form. Doukas' jewelry is a harmonious arrangement of silver and three beautiful precious stones: topaz, green quartz and smoky quartz. With subtle powerfulness, Dream tells a story of individual courage that, when amassed, can change the world. Buy now from our online shop this beautiful piece of Scandinavian design jewelry.

Nice brooch, and a nice touch to wear it on her return. Did Henri stay behind? Odd they don't arrive back together?
