Prince Ali Reza Pahlavi of Iran (son of the last Shah of Iran, Mohammed Reza Pahlavi and his third wife Farah, nee Diba) committed suicide in Boston on 4th January at the age of 44.

Princess Emmanuel de Croy, née Countess Nicole de Marnix de Sainte-Aldegonde, died aged 91 on 6 February 2011.
She was the widow of Prince Emmanuel de Croy (1908-1997), whom she married in 1944 and with whom she had four children.

Duchess Gertrud of Oldenburg, née Princess zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg, died on 4 February 2011, aged 85.

She was born on 24 January 1926, daughter of Fürst Udo and Fürstin Margarete zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg. She married on 7 August 1951 to Duke Peter of Oldenburg; on the same day, her older sister Ameli married to Peter's older brother Anton Gunther. She and Duke Peter became parents of four children. She is survived by her husband, their children and nine grandchildren.

Eleonore Fürstin zu Salm-Salm, née von Eleonore Sophie Eveline von Zitzewitz, died at Aumühle/Reinbek on 16 February.

[She had been born at Prebendow on 24 November 1919, daughter of Wilhelm-Siegfried Otto Martin von Zitzewitz (1871-1949) and of Eleonore Heyn (1895-1975). In 1940 she married Harras Ursus Caminneci, who was killed in action in Russia in 1944. She had a son from that marriage. From 1950 to 1961 she was married to Nikolaus Leopold Fürst zu Salm-Salm (1906-1988), and had one son from that marriage. She is survived by her sons, Pier Caminneci, and Ludwig-Wilhelm Prinz zu Salm-Salm, and five grandchildren.]

Carl Barton Hess died at Manhattan, New York, on 15 February 2011, aged 98. He has been married, as his third wife, to Princess Ludmila zu Schwarzenberg since 1998.

Michel Denizot, husband of HRH Princess Marie Christine of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, died on 10 March, aged 87.
He was born in 1923 and has been married to Princess Marie Christine (the daughter of Luigi of Bourbon, Count of Roccaguglielma, and his wife, née Marie Louise de Clermont-Tonnerre) from 1957, and they had four children together, two sons and two daughter.

Fürst Paul von Quadt zu Wykradt und Isny died today, 16 March 2011, aged 80.

He was born on 28 November 1930, the youngest son of Fürst Alexander von Quadt zu Wykradt u.Isny and of Fürstin Maria-Anna, née Countess Esterházy von Galántha; he and succeeded as Fürst on the death of his older brother in 1942.
He married in 1955 to Princess Marie Charlotte of Bavaria (daughter of Duke Albrecht and Duchess Maria of Bavaria); they became parents of four children.

Princess Antoinette of Monaco, Countess de Polignac, Baroness de Massy died yesterday.

She was born on 28th December 1920, as the older of two children of Prince Pierre of Monaco, Duke of Valentinois (1895-1964) and his wife Charlotte, Princess of Monaco (1898-1977) She was married three times: firstly, to Alexandre Noghes from 1951 to 1954 (father of her three children, he died in 1999); secondly, to John Charles Rey (from 1961 to 1974; he died in 1994); thirdly to John Gilpin in 1983, who suddenly died six weeks after.
She is survived by her daughter Elisabeth, her son Christian, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her youngest daughter Christine predeceased her in 1989.

Jörg Brena, born Prince Georg of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, died on 11 March 2011 at Bad Krozingen, aged 89.

He was born on 24 November 1921, son of Grand Duke Wilhelm Ernst of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach and of Grand Duchess Feodore, née Princess of Saxe-Meiningen. He renounced his rights and took the name Jörg Brena on 22 Jan 1953, shortly before marrying to Gisela Jänisch (1930-1989) on 5 February 1953; they became parents of three daughters, Luise-Ariane Adelheid-Cornelie and Isobel.

Princess Antoinette von Croÿ, Mrs Auff'm-Ordt, died on 16 February 2011 at Dulmen, aged 95.

She was born on 27 October 1915, daughter of Duke Karl Rudolf von Croÿ and his first wife, née Nancy Leishman. She married firstly in 1944 to Jürgen von Goerne, but the marriage ended in divorce three years later. She then married in 1948 to Frederik Nelson Tucker, and also this marriage ended in divorce in 1956. She married thirdly in a civil ceremony in 1981 and in a religious one in 1982 to Douglas Auff'm-Ordt; this marriage lasted until Auff'm-Ordt's death in 2006.

Count Wilhelm zu Stolberg-Stolberg died on 3 April 2011 at Cascais (Portugal); he was 83 years old.

He was the seventh child of Count Joseph and Countess Theresia, née Baroness von Ketteler, and was born on 2 June 1927.
He has been married three times: firstly from 1961 to the divorce in 1970 to Princess Irene zu Isenburg; secondly from 1972 to her death in 2002 to Annemarie Klaas; and thirdly, since 2005, to Frances Ann Sutherland.
With his first wife he had three children: a son, Franz Joseph, and two daughters, Isabel-Juliana (wife of Prince and Duke Leopold d'Arenberg) and Irina (wife of Count Michel de Liedekerke).

The last titular Maharaja of Jaipur Brigadier Sawai Bhawani Singh died at a private hospital in Gurgaon after prolonged illness.The Jaipur royal died late on Saturday, April 16th, 2011, night due to multi-organ failure, family sources said in Jaipur. He was 80. - Press Trust of India
 
Princess Seeta bint Abdul Aziz Al-Saud died on 13 April 2011 after long illness, at the age of 80.

She was the daughter of King Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia and his eight wife, Princess Fahda.
She was married to Prince Abdullah bin Muhammad, with whom she had three children: Prince Faisal, Prince Fahd and Princess Noura.

Princess Teresa of Orleans and Braganza (b.1919) passed away on 18 April.

She was the youngest of five children of Prince Pedro de Alcantara of Brazil, Prince of Grau-Para of (1875-1940) & his wife, nee Countess Elisabeth Dobrzensky von Dobrzenicz (1875-1951).
In 1857 she married Ernesto Martorell y Caldero (1921-1985).
She is survived by her two daughters: Elisabeth (b.1959) & Nuria (b.1960) as well as two granddaughters: Maria Theresa (b.1988) & Maria do Carmo (b.2002) (daughters of Elisabeth).

According to Instituto cultural Isabel da Redoranta Princess Maria of Brazil,nee of Bavaria died yesterday at the age of 96...

Princess Maria died yesterday, 13 May 2011, at Rio de Janeiro, at the age of 96.
She was the daughter of Prince Franz and Princess Isabella of Bavaria, and was born at Nymphenburg Castle on 9 September 1914.
She married on 19 August 1937 to Prince Pedro Henrique of Orléans-Braganza, Head of the Imperial Family of Brazil; they had 12 children together; her husband died in 1981.

Princess Laura von und zu Liechtenstein, née Malvezzi Campeggi (of the Marquesses of Dozza) died on 6 May 2011, aged 70.

She was born in Bologna (Italy) on 12 January 1941, and was married since 1969 to Prince Franz Geza von und zu Liechtenstein; they had four children together, two sons and two daughters; their eldest daughter died a few days after the birth in 1971.

Berengar Patterson, son of Kirby William Patterson and his wife, née Princess Victoria Marina of Prussia (herself daughter of Prince and Princess Adalbert of Prussia and granddaughter of German Emperor Wilhelm II), died on 18 May 2011, aged 62.
He is survived by his wife Pamela and his sister Dohna; his twin sister Marina Engel, née Patterson, died early this year, on 10 January.

HRH the Prince Khalid bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, eldest of the 22 children of Saudi King Abdullah died June 10th, 2011 at the age 54, reports AP.
He is survived by his wife Princess Noura bint Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Abdullah (born 1958) and their 2 sons and 2 daughters.

Carl, 14th Duke of Croy, died on 14 June 2011; he was 96 years old.

He was born 11 October 1914 at Dusseldorf, eldest son of Duke Carl Rudolf of Croy and his first wife, née Nancy Leishman. He married in 1953 to HRH Princess Gabriele of Bavaria, daughter of Crown Prince Rupprecht and Crown Princess Antonia; they became parents of three children: Marie Therese, Rudolf (who succeeds his father as 15th Duke of Croy) and Stefan.

He is survived by his wife, their three children and several grandchildren; earlier this year he was predeceased by his sister Antoinette.

Prince Georg von Auersperg died on 17 June 2011; he was 88 years old.

He was born at Salzburg on 11 September 1922, fourth son (and fifth child) of Prince Franz and Princess Hedwig, née Princess von Lobkowicz. He married in 1955 to Countess Eliane du Chastel de la Howarderie, with whom he had two daughters, Zdenka and Elisabeth. The eldest daughter Zdenka, Countess Ferdinand von Orsini und Rosenberg, died two years ago.

He is survived by his wife, his daughter Elisabeth and several grandchildren.

Princess Helene-Sophie of Waldeck und Pyrmont died on 20 June.
She was born in 1943 as the youngest daughter of Prince Max of Waldeck und Pyrmont (1898-1981) & his wife, Countess Gustava of Platen-Hallermund (1899-1986). In 1974 she married Baron Michael von Forstner (b.1946) but they divorced a year later.
She is survived by her only son, Baron Ludwig Ferdinand von Forstner (b.1974), sister Marie-Louse (b.1930), brothers Friedrich-Carl (b.1933) & Georg-Viktor (b.1936), as well as eight nieces and five nephews and their numerous decendants (one nephew and one niece predeceased her)

Princess Azadeh Pahlavi Shafiq died from cancer on 23 February.
She was born in 1951 as the youngest of three children and only daughter of Princess Ashraf Pahlavi (b.1919, twin sister of the last Shah of Iran) and her second husband Ahmad Shafiq (1911-1976). She was married twice: firstly, to Farshad Vahid (1924-1979; from 1972 to 1975) and secondly to former Iranian military officer (name unknown).
Apart from her mther, she is survived by her only son, Kamran Farshad Vahid (b.1973), half brother Sharam Pahlavi (b.1940) as well as four nephews. Her full brother, Shariar Shafiq, was assassinated in 1979 by Iranian revolutionists.
