Princess Maria of Romania Attends Opening of Transylvanian Museum
Last Saturday, Her Royal Highness Princess Maria of Romania attended the inauguration of a new museum at Kálnoky Castle in the town of Miclosoara north of Bucharest.
The reception for the Museum of Transylvanian Life started off with a speech by Count Tibor Kálnoky who is President of the Kálnoky Foundation and a close friend of the Prince of Wales. The Prince of Wales himself sent a special message which was read out by the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland – His Excellency Mr. Paul Brummell.
The Kálnoky Foundation initiated the idea for a museum in partnership with INTBAU Scandinavia, an organisation supporting “traditional architecture, urbanism and crafts through education and advocacy” (source: http://www.intbau.org)
