Audiences at Zarzuela Palace
The King and Queen of Spain today received three different groups in audience at the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid.
First, members of the operations team – including the director and general manager – of the magazine Semana were welcomed to the Palace to mark their 75th year of publication. A presentation of some of the most outstanding images featured in the magazine during its history was shown to King Felipe and Queen Letizia during the audience.
Afterwards the King and Queen received representatives of the Alliance for Dual Training initiative which aims to help promote youth employment. The initiative is put together by the Bertelsmann Foundation, the Princess of Girona Foundation, the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, all of which were present at the audience.
The final audience was with the board of the Spanish Committee of United World Colleges Foundation, of which the royal couple are patrons. The foundation operates in over 125 countries with the aim of promoting “peace through multicultural education”. Scholarship recipients of the foundation were able to attend the audience and meet King Felipe and Queen Letizia.
