HRH Prince Joachim Working Visit to the UAE: February 25 - 28, 2013​

COMMERCE AND CULTURE PROMOTION IN UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

HRH Prince Joachim participant from today, on 25 February, in a four-day business and cultural promotion in the United Arab Emirates, where a visit to the cities of Dubai, Al Ain and the capital Abu Dhabi.

Prince Joachim program focuses primarily on Danish business activities in a number of key sectors including food, health, gas and oil industry, and sustainable energy solutions.

In Dubai will Prince Joachim including participate at the opening of the food fair Gulfood, which is among the largest in the world. In addition, Prince particular visit the Danish stand, where 25 Danish companies are expected to be represented. During the visit to Dubai will prince inspect the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa.

The program also includes a visit to the archaeological center Hili Archaeological Park by Danish archaeologists from MoesgaardMuseum discovered and excavated back in 1960-ies. Danish archaeologists have been involved in the many historic sites in the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf States. In 2010 there was a major exhibition focusing on the Danish discoveries in Abu Dhabi.

In Abu Dhabi Prince Joachim will also meet with representatives of major Danish companies in the region, as well as presenting cultural visits, inter alia, the great national mosque Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the cultural project, Saadiyat Island, which include branches of the Guggenheim and Louvre are under construction.
