Who knows the truth, I think we shouldn't judge or speculate until we know (if we ever do) what happened. Its possible the split from Lindsay was only announced once his relationship with Harriet was serious and likely to become public knowledge.

I hope that Lindsey and Peter’s split was amicable, they were at the Coronation Concert together this time last year!
I do feel a bit for his girls as they seemed in photos to be close to Lindsey and now he’s already introducing them to someone else.
