Questions about British Styles and Titles 1: Ending 2022

Pardon me, but I am an expert in this particlular subject. The legal aspects of the granting of British titles, the issuance of Letters Patent and Royal Warrants are well within my field of expertise. The facts that I previously stated concerning the Edinburgh title are correct and congruous...

Birth of Lady Louise (November 8, 2003) and Christening (April 24, 2004)

 I definitely think that "Elizabeth" will be the child's first name. As for middle names, I like Victoria Mary Alexandra Helena Sophie Louise Alice. :flower:

State Visit from the President of the United States: November 18-21, 2003

The "guy" is the U.S. Ambassador to the Court of St. James, the Hon. William S. Farish. I think he is just introducing the President to the PoW, but he MAY be acting as interpreter also! ;)

:flower: I could not agree with you more, Alexandria. We will see what, if anything, happens in the future with the title situation. As for now, as long as the child is healthy and her mother is doing fine.......let's just wait and see!

Birth of Lady Louise (November 8, 2003) and Christening (April 24, 2004)

 Well, every single newspaper is WRONG!!! Are the people who publish newspapers legal experts? I am NOT in denial. I just happen to be an expert in the UK laws pertaining to this subject. FYI- That ANNOUNCEMENT, IN FACT AND IN THE LAW, has absolutely NO bearing on the reality of this...

Prince Andrew (1882-1944) and Alice, Princess Andrew Of Greece (1885-1969)

:flower: I own that particular book by Hugo Vickers [ Alice: Princess Andrew of Greece ISBN 0-312-28886-7]. I found it to be quite interesting. HRH Princess Andrew led a very colorful life at times, very melancholy at other times. She was mentally ill, on and off, all her life, as well as being...

Birth of Lady Louise (November 8, 2003) and Christening (April 24, 2004)

:flower: It all depends on the wording of any forthcoming Letters Patent. HM could deprive the new baby of ALL her Royal status, or she could allow her to have only the courtesy title of "Lady", the baby being the daughter of an Earl. There is the possibility of her technically remaining an...

Birth of Lady Louise (November 8, 2003) and Christening (April 24, 2004)

As a "male-line grandchild" the new baby is entitled to the HRH/Princess titles. If the baby was a female-line grandchild she would not be entitled to any titles. An example of this would be the Princess Royal's children Peter and Zara. They have no Royal status or titles . They are commoners.

Birth of Lady Louise (November 8, 2003) and Christening (April 24, 2004)

:flower: You are absolutely correct. The new baby girl IS a Royal Highness and a Princess of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. HM The Queen has NOT issused the necesary Letters Patent to deprive her grandaughter of her proper Royal status. I think perhaps the suddeness of the child's birth...
