New Information about Upcoming Luxembourg Wedding
Over the past few days, little pieces of information have been trickling out from around Europe regarding the upcoming nuptials of Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg and Countess Stéphanie de Lannoy.
The Grand Ducal Court released two new official photographs of the couple, who will wed on October 19th and 20th, as well as their joint monogram. The photographs are believed to have been taken earlier in the summer, and show the bride and groom in the palace grounds. The monogram features an entwined G and S in Luxembourg’s national colours of blue and orange.
Several royal houses have also confirmed who will be representing them at the wedding. The Norwegian Royal Family will be out in full force – King Harald V, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Märtha Louise and Ari Behn will all be attending – which is no surprise given the close familial relations between the Norwegian and Luxembourg royal houses (King Harald and the late Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte, grandmother of the groom, are first cousins: their respective mothers, Princesses Märtha and Astrid, were sisters).
Sweden will be represented by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, and Crown Prince Naruhito will be representing Japan.
